Gralyn Joinery’s bespoke joinery expertise were requested for a brand new garden centre fit out at Otley and Bingley Garden Centre. Both sites now welcome customers with a comfortable, on-brand design.
At Gralyn Joinery we worked with the team at Otley and Bingley Garden Centre to re-design and fit-out their existing garden centre premises. We worked on all aspects of the project, from planning to design and manufacturing. This allowed our team to create an inviting, practical, and highly adaptable commercial space, that matched their other retail locations across Leeds.

The team at Otley and Bingley Garden Centre requested our quality joinery services and expert design team, to design, manufacture and install multiple joinery pieces at their new premises.
Our team were given just 12 weeks to design, manufacture and create a retail space at Otley and Bingley Garden Centre that mimicked the current designs and branding found at their other garden centre locations. Through collaborating with both teams, we created a consistent design that allowed visitors a comfortable and inviting garden centre design no matter their location.
1. Consultation
An initial consultation allowed us to discuss the brief with our client and talk through their joinery needs.

Following the survey, we supplied a detailed quote with different design and material options prior to sign-off.

We then carried out a full site survey, which enabled us to produce detailed drawings of the full fit-out project.
4. Deliver
We then worked with our clients’ feedback and design notes to create the premium joinery pieces they were looking for.
Site Features:
To maintain continuity across each garden centre location, our team installed similar design features. To achieve this, we worked with high-quality, robust materials to once again create bespoke, heavy-duty joinery fixtures that could withstand constant use on a daily basis.
This included sign displays, plant stands, as well as mobile room dividers that our team designed and manufactured bespoke for the client. These dividers allowed our client to display carefully curated room sets to show to customers, and provided them with additional hanging space to display complimentary accessories.
Each room divider was designed and manufactured using timber frame construction clad with 15mm MDF panels to create a robust structure that could handle heavy loads.
Our team also designed and manufactured a-frame display stands for small free-standing products, as well as trestle tables for additional visual merchandising space. These stands helped to create clear product displays that would attract customers around the area.

The Results
The fit out of Bingley and Otley Garden Centre needed to be completed within a 12-week timeframe. Our team completed the required work within this timeframe, and to the specified budget.
This particular refit was a challenge for our team as both Bingley and Otley Garden Centre were already fully fitted out. However, our team handled manoeuvring and removing items from departments professionally during opening hours, and whilst customers were present, with minimal disruptions.
During the design process, out team worked closely with both teams at Bingley and Otley Garden Centre which was a huge advantage. The whole project ran smoothly due to the existing knowledge we had designing and fitting Tingley Garden Centre, as well as the constant communication between both teams. This constant collaboration meant brand guidelines were consistent with other locations to create a high-quality, on-brand successful shopping space that customers love!
